Dr. Sonya Lin, DDS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist and an integral part of the HulaGrins Pediatric Dentistry team in Torrance. She sees patients on Fridays, extending our practice’s availability for South Bay families who need flexible scheduling. Together, Dr. Sonya and Dr. Sena Hiradate bring a combined 15-plus years of clinical experience to the children and families they serve.

The majority of what Dr. Sonya handles day-to-day spans the full breadth of pediatric dental services at HulaGrins, including cleanings, exams, fluoride treatments, fillings, and primary and permanent tooth restorations. Her experience across these core areas of care means families who see her regularly can count on consistent, high-quality treatment that keeps their child’s oral health on track between visits.
Tongue-Tie and Lip-Tie Assessment
Dr. Sonya is trained to assess children for tongue-tie and lip-tie restrictions. She evaluates whether a functional restriction is present and whether it warrants treatment, giving families a clear and informed starting point. Laser frenectomy procedures are performed by Dr. Sena using the LightScalpel CO2 laser, and Dr. Sonya’s assessment role ensures that any child who may benefit from that evaluation gets routed appropriately within our practice.
